By popular demand, here are the scenarios that will determine how the playoff match-ups will shake out.
For those who don't know: KOC=Elton's team, MIB=Nolan's, THB=Nick's, OOT=Alex's, RD=Samer's, SM=Keith's
First of all, regardless what happens in Week 10 KOC, OOT, & MIB have clinched a playoff spot and obviously, SM have been eliminated from playoff contention. The only game that matters as far as clinching a playoff spot is the one between THB & RD (winner clinches).
So, that being said here are how the seedings will be determined.....
If KOC beats MIB by any margin, or loses to MIB by less then 10 points they will automatically get the #1 seed.
If KOC beats MIB and OOT beats SM then KOC will be #1, OOT will be #2, the winner of RD & THB will be #3 seed and MIB will be #4 seed.
If KOC beats MIB and OOT loses to SM then KOC will be #1, the winner of RD & THB will be #2, OOT will be #3 seed and MIB will be #4 seed.
If MIB beats KOC by more then 10 points and OOT loses to SM then MIB will get #1 seed, KOC will get the #2 seed, the winner of RD & THB will be #3 seed, and OOT will get the #4 seed.
If MIB beats KOC by more then 10 points and OOT beats SM then the top 3 seeds are determined by league point differential and the winner of RD & THB will be #4 seed.
And finally, if MIB beats KOC by less than 10 points and OOT beats SM, then KOC will be the #1 seed, OOT will be #2, MIB will be #3 and the winner of RD & THB will be #4 seed.
You're probably more confused having read this, but print it out and bring it to the game and I promise after the games are over it will make sense.
p.s. I know I'm a loser for doing this, you don't have to tell me, but somebody's gotta take one for the league. IT'S THE LEAGUE!!
yons your not loser for breaking things down... I ahve a question though.... if iam correct Alex nicks, samers and nolans team all have the same record. so how could alexs and nolans team clinch a spot ???
Good question, Nolan's and Alex's team have already clinched because even if they lose, both teams have the advantage on head-to-head matchups with both Nick's and Samer's team, so the team that loses that game is out. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about Alex's team)
