It's been suggested before, and a majority vote had canceled it, but could be a possibility if enough people want that.
I like the idea, it gives a more continuous feel to the league as oppose to a clean slate every session. At the same time a con might be the redunancy of having to play with the same people, not all players want to play for the team they're picked to play on.
I actually fdon't think it's a bad idea. Let's take a look at why.
Leagues are put together to establish the obvious. A group of guys getting together, playing ball, giving everyone something to do during the crap weather, extend friendships, etc.
However, ther is the competitive side as well. I think it can only help the league becasue it creates that desire within every man to knock off the defending champ. The only people stuck together would be the champiopnship team. I don't think anyone will complain if they win the championship. Also, if they would like to be traded, they can be, they are not going to be made to play. Discussions between them and the Captain will have to be had.
I like the idea, it gives people bragging rights, more exposer on the site, more trash on the message board and a more thought out process when captains are drafting.
I agree with it because it's no differnet than the committee team and you guys didn't win a championship to create your own team. Alex and Trevor are the only ones that can claim a title on your team.
The consultant suggestion is: YES, it's a good idea.
There can some rules too. Like the championship team can only stay together for 2-3 sessions. UNLESS it just so happens the same team is assembled through the draft.
We can add teh variables later. We first need to see if this will get implemented into the C.A.L. policy.
