After reading all the worthless garbage that has been posted on the message board by members of La Familia, I feel compelled to respond to one thing. I know the cheap shots are just for fun and for the most part I don't take them personally. There is though, a common misconception about one player in particular and I must stand up for him. Having played 3 full seasons with Nolan I've heard a select group of people say that Nolan is all about himself, that he is not a team player and is only concerned with his own performance. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. Nolan is a great team player, he wants to get all of his teammates involved in the game and most of all he understands that TEAMS win championships. If Nolan is everything that you guys say he is, then I don't care how much talent is around him, he would never win a championship no matter how hard he tried on his own. Obviously since he has won a championship (which is more than I can say for some people) he does know how to play a team game. I would rather have Nolan as a teammate over 95% of the people in this league and I look forward to being his teammate again. So stop hating. CHEW ON THAT B%#CHES!
Good sh*t Yones, I think a couple of people will agreed with you but they know you can't change how a hater thinks. A hater will always be a hater, HATERS. But you know whats funny is that the people who talk the most sh*t, don't have a championship, but its not them, its the other people on their team. See you boys tonight, and the haters too of course.
Listen, if you go back and read the messages again you will find that I feel the same way as you. EXCEPT for when he gets out of that mode and decides to do everything himself. That is eveident to everyone in the league. Me ,you, and Nolan played on the same team last session. We went 3-0. Not to put all the balme on one person but what were the diferences in week 4,5,and 6? Ask Jeter, he'll tell you. I have said that I like playing with Nolan, but I have also said I hate playing with the other Nolan that shows up.
A lot of the comments about Nolan stem from nothing different than everyone else's........just chit talking. It's all about who your teammates are this season. If you look back into the archives, you'll find that Joey and I were going back and forth at each other when we weren't teammates.
In regards to cheap shots, I don't think I have taken them. Anythign I have posted about Nolan I said verbally during our game 2 weeks ago. I'm sure everyone heard most of it and witnessed the altercation. However, I saw Nolan at Main Street Billiards and "No harm no foul". Keep in mind, my attack was in retaliation. It's obvious, every session, someone seems to get offended although everyone knows it's in good fun. I don't get upset to a point to where I take it personall when captains are told not to draft me until the 4th or 5th round, about when Nick continiously attacks me, etc. I DON"T CARE. Now, I have never said anyting personal about anyone (as far as a I can remember) I wish I was drafted in the 4th or 5th round, I would play with the best team every session..
Anyway, I am done. I hope this clears a few things up. On that note, don't fukc with La Familia biotch's!
Nate, in regards to your hater comment. Homeboy, if you look at our team and who it's composed of, there is NOT ONE THING any of us would hate about. Beleive me on that cuz!!
Ahh how cute, big brother is sticking up for little brtoher. Or is it the other way around?
Nolan is older...Tony, I am deeply offended by your breath.
Nate, a hater is someone that doesn't call someone back when they're calling to tell them to put him on their team. I won't mention any names, but I say f^ck the person who does that, b/c they are an abid, but I won't say who.
Tony, on a serious note, for the sake of argument...you're the captain of your team, and your team is down and x amount of points in the game or needs a lift, and out of your entire team the person who's offensive ability you have the most confidence in is yourself...wouldn't you take it upon yourself to lead the charge back?
Not if your guard and center we're carrying the offensive load. I understand your argument but it isn't legitament if you dug the whole your team was in.
As you said, for the sake of argument, you were the captain of your team last session (I don't know if you are this session) and to your point, why don't you try to take the game over? Also, why would you let it get to that.
Now, I have a question for argument sake. With what we are doing this season asn how our offense runs. Do you think it would be smart for Joey to start jacking 30 shots a game and go away from what got to where we are today (should be 3-0) azzhole Ray? You see my point?
Also, would you call your leading defender and second leading scorer a 5th rounder?
If you were the one digging the hole for your team, that's one thing, I was just talking about for the team as a whole if you guys weren't producing, the one that has the most offensive production should step it up.
I'm not the captain this session, it's more of a joint effort. I think this question you're gearing toward me specifically, right? If that's the case, I didn't arrange my team to set myself up to be the top scorer, what I try to do as a captain is know each of my teammates strengths and have them focus on simply that. At the sametime you want to enforce a defensive philosophy. There was only one game last session where I noticed my main scoring options weren't producing and that I moved myself to take a bulk of the shots and that was against Keith's team. Besides, as a team in general, there's no reason why everyone shouldn't touch the ball...everybody does their job, give/get screens, cut hard to the basket, the ball will find you. Anyway, bottom line is, if the record's not broken, then don't try to fix it.
Also, Joey should jack up 30 shots, I think you guys are sucking the life blood out of him and aren't using him to his full potential. He needs to shoot threes and get to the line. I can only imagine the anguish he must feel passing the ball to aira's like Ray and Dani who couldn't hit the blind side of a barn. If anything he should at least take all of Ray and Dani's shots.
E, I agree with you 100% about what you said in sections 1 and 2. However you contridicted yourself in the third paragraph. Beleive me, Joey has the green light to shoot. EVRYONE DOES!! No one is goign to be told not to shoot. However, Joey is not teh only one runing the braks and if you haven't noticed, our game is not broken so why try to fix it (you contridicted yourself)!!
You said, "what I try to do as a captain is know each of my teammates strengths and have them focus on simply that. At the sametime you want to enforce a defensive philosophy".. I agree you agian...........That has een my point and that was my argument in games 3-6 last session. That's all!
E, right now, I agree with you so much I have to wash my mouth for saying that!!
No, you guys are alright, but like I said before, I wouldn't be guaranteeing sh!t, it could bite you in the a$$ with an early.
No contradiction, I was just saying it to hopefully mess up your team's flow. Joey, don't mind this guy, and don't let Zeke take your glory, you're the star, you can do it, you and Dani together with Ray's monsterous ability to f^ck up games, you guys would be the sh!T
