I walked into Sahara yesterday to pick up a couple chicken creme chop sanwiches(EXTRA DRESSING OFCOURSE), and to my suprise i saw a huge banner that was promoting a basketball tournament. It read Chaldean Athletic League basketball tournament. It got me thinking, we are supposed to be CAL, but some other people are throwing a basketbal tournament using the CAL trademark. I know our committee members would of patened the trademark, so how are these people using the CAL name. Does anybody else find the offensive? does anyone care? Are we even still CAL, because we have no gym or schedule? Is CAL coming to and end? Elton, please shed some light on this matter. Are you going to allow some other chaldeans to throw a tournament and call it the Chaldean athletic League Tournament?
Maybe I can shed some light on the subject......Copyright law states that if you can prove that you used a name, logo or trademark before someone else, then you can still prevent the other party from using it or sue them for copyright infringement, even if you don't have a copyright. In other words GO GET UM' E!!!!!
By the way, Tony A. made a great point about no schedule and no gym COMMISH!
